| The Los Angeles Convention Center will host Digital Video Expo West on 5 and 6 December 2007. The event will be attended by professionals from the video and audio sector such as producers, directors, visual effects artists and website designers. A total of 125 companies will exhibit their products and services, including Avid Technology, Canon, JVC, Panasonic and Sony.
This year the event, which has the slogan “Where Talent Meets Technology”, is adding two new pavilions for conferences and training activities. A series of discussions will take place on 4, 5 and 6 December which will include aspects such as digital cinematography, lighting, color correction, the latest technological trends in filming, legislation relating to the sector and the opportunities for independent firms to take their first steps in the digital video industry. Further activities include a training workshop with Apple certification on the Final Cut Pro 6 and Final Cut Studio 2 applications on 4 and 6 December.
