According to Caribbean News website, the Globalia Group owned Spanish airline Air Europa will initiate daily flights between Madrid and Miami on March 19, 2010.
Based on a study which revealed high demand for this route, the company estimates flights will be 70% to 80% filled.
The decision to add this new route is supplements the launch a few months ago of flights to New York, which according to the company, are pretty successful. Passengers can fly from Madrid to Miami and return by way of New York.
With the addition of the new route, Air Europa offers package deals to Disney World in Orlando as well as New York or San Francisco through Globalia Group Agencies (Halcon Viajes and Viajes Ecuador) or other travel agencies.
This route will use Airbus A330-200 with room for 253 passengers flying business or tourist class.
