According to the newspaper Cinco Dias, which alluded to remarks made by Mango President Isak Andic at the XII National Congress of Family Owned Businesses in Zaragoza, Spain, the company is looking for a partner to land a department store chain in the United States.
The newspaper reports that the Spanish company is finalizing an agreement to open 200 retail establishments in the U.S. within approximately one year. Mango would do a huge business in department stores in the States. The company currently operates ten establishments in North America.
Mango wants to partner with retailers on the scale of Macy’s or Bloomingdale’s that are on both the East and West Coasts, where the fashion industry does best.
