According to the website www.Modaes.esTous, the Spanish jewelry chain, will close out 2009 with 70 new stores. Despite the crisis, the company that is known for its bearish outlook has 376 retail establishments in 42 countries around the world.
The firm has focused on promoting Tous through marketing initiatives like a new corporate campaign with singer Kylie Minogue, and by opening stores on prime streets in major cities.
Mexico is Tous´ second market after Spain, where it has 150 stores; and the U.S., which saw 9 new store openings in 2009, is third.
