The Spanish airline Spanair, which on Monday will join Star Alliance, announced that it is finalizing an agreement with Continental Airlines for direct flights between Barcelona and New York on Continental aircraft.
At the end of this year or the beginning of 2010, passengers will be able to buy codeshare tickets to New York on Spanair´s website. The code sharing service could apply to other Star Alliance participants including Singapore Airlines and ANA of Japan.
