Six footwear component Spanish companies leave their footprint in the U.S.

Six Spanish companies for footwear components have participated in Trend Selection, the trade show celebrated in New York between September 2nd and 3rd, a show with 122 exhibitors from 21 countries.

This was reported by the Spanish Association of Footwear (AEC), The Association also indicated that an aditional six Spanish firms of tanners participated in the show through Acexpiel, the Spanish leather manufacturers assoc.

The six Spanish footware companies participating are Texpiel, Eustaquio Cantó, Textil In, Artesa, American Supply y Comertex. The show welcomed the Fall / Winter 2010-2011 collections.

According to the industry's association, attendees to the show were delegates with purchase capabilties as well as designers, who choose the materials. "The strength of the euro against the dollar, which has resulted in more expensive European products, is a handicap but it's still a fashion oriented profitable show," whose participants, mostly Italian, presented collections with a "high fashion and design level," stated the Association.
