The Spanish healthcare technology sector is comprised of 2,246 manufacturers, 90% of which are small and medium sized companies, which coexist alongside with a group of large multinationals present in Spain. The Spanish sector classifies itself and a medium-high tech industry, especially the electro-medicine, laboratory and diagnostics subsectors. The EU and the United states account for 73% of Spanish exports.
