The Spanish industrial defense and security material sector continues its rising trend that began in the late 1990s. Defense and security sales increased by 22.39% in 2002 over the previous year. Exports increased proportionately more than domestic demand especially due to the effort of some sub-sectors that have experienced considerable success in the international market.
